⚠️ Important: If your battery is swollen, stop using the device immediately and contact us straight away. A swollen battery can be dangerous and should not be charged or used.
If your device feels unusually hot or you are concerned about the battery, follow the guidance below.
1. Let your device cool down
Use your phone only when the temperature is between 0°C and 35°C.
Store your phone in temperatures between -20°C and 45°C.
Avoid leaving your device in a car during hot weather.
Do not keep your phone in direct sunlight for long periods.
Limit heavy usage (such as GPS, navigation, augmented reality apps or gaming) in hot conditions or direct sunlight.
Some warmth during use is normal, especially when running demanding apps.
If your device overheats, a temperature warning may appear. If this happens, stop using the device until it cools down.
2. Check your charger and charging setup
Make sure your charger, cable and power outlet are working correctly.
Check that the charging port is clean and free from dust or debris.
Try charging from a different wall socket if charging is slow or not working.
Use a known working charger and cable, then wait a few minutes to see if the battery icon appears.
3. Update your software
Keeping your device up to date can help prevent battery and performance issues.
On iOS devices:
Go to Settings > General > Software Update and install any available updates.
On Android devices:
Go to Settings > System > System update and follow the on-screen instructions.
4. Restore your device to factory settings (advanced)
Important: Back up your data before restoring your device. This will erase all personal data.
On iOS devices:
Connect your phone to a computer.
Open Finder (macOS Catalina or later) or iTunes (macOS Mojave or earlier, or Windows PC).
Select Restore and follow the on-screen instructions.
On Android devices:
Go to Settings > System > Reset options.
Follow the on-screen steps to reset your device.
