If your device won’t power on, follow the steps below to help identify and fix the issue.
1. Check your charger and cable
Make sure the charging cable and plug adaptor are not damaged.
Plug them into a working power socket.
Check the charging port for dust or debris.
Leave your device connected to the charger for at least 30 minutes, even if nothing appears on the screen.
2. Clean the charging port (if needed)
If you can see dirt or lint in the charging port, gently remove it using a wooden toothpick.
Take care not to damage the port or push debris further inside.
3. Force restart your device
A force restart can help if the device is unresponsive.
iOS devices
Follow the force restart steps for your specific iPhone model.
Android devices
Press and hold the Power button and Volume Down button together for 7–10 seconds, until the device restarts.
4. Restore your device (advanced)
Important: Restoring your device will erase your data. Back up your device before continuing, if possible.
iOS devices
Connect your phone to a computer.
Follow the on-screen prompts to restore the device to factory settings.
Android devices
Back up your data.
Go to Settings > Factory data reset
Select Delete all and follow the on-screen instructions.
If your device still won’t turn on after trying these steps, it may require professional repair or further support.
